Programs
Hope Academy offers two programs that provide parents flexibility to choose what is best for their families. Families may participate in either or both programs, subject to some enrollment limitations.
Supervised Home Education:
Umbrella Program
We offer a supervised home education program, called an Umbrella, which meets current Maryland regulations. The Umbrella is designed to give parents as much freedom as possible in determining their children’s education by helping parents build student portfolios, monitor each child’s progress, and maintain all necessary student records. This is done while allowing parents to have maximum control over the choice of curricula, schedule, and format of homeschool lessons.
In-Person Classes:
Tutorial Program
It is our goal to offer a program to assist parents as they strive to fulfill their God-given role in training and educating their children. We offer both core and elective classes for K-12th grade as well as a preschool enrichment program. Tutors instruct the students in the classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays while parents are responsible for teaching the curriculum at home the remaining days of the week.
